Our Mission is to raise awareness of the environmental and health impacts of contrails and support efforts to eliminate warming contrails from our skies.
Why We Care About Contrails
Contrails are those pesky white streaks sometimes left by airplanes. They form when the particles emitted by an aircraft’s engine exhaust interact with water and have a net effect of warming the earth.
The good news? If we can reduce the number of contrails in the sky, we can significantly reduce aviation’s climate impact. This goal is achievable thanks to the latest cutting-edge technology and forecast modelling.
We believe it’s time to take practical steps towards limiting the aviation industry’s climate impact.
